Freudenberg Nonwovens NA is to close the staple fiber nonwovens production lines at its Durham/NC facility effective at the end of March 2009. The Durham staple fiber non-woven plant operates 2 base lines and 2 print-sets and employs 60 people. The Spunlaid Division in Durham is not affected by this closure. Freudenberg Nonwovens has remaining US operations in Durham/NC and Hopkinsville/KY.
