PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber for a staple fiber nonwoven fabric, effective for suppressing generation of static charge in production of the nonwoven fabric without lowering performance of chitosan and giving little stimulation to the skin, and to provide a method for producing the fiber, the staple fiber nonwoven fabric, a method for producing the nonwoven fabric, and daily commodities.;SOLUTION: The fiber 1 for the staple fiber nonwoven fabric is produced by attaching respective prescribed amounts of at least a polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester 3, which is an ester of a polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 400-800 and a fatty acid having a carbon number of 10-20 and a chitosan surfactant 4, to the surface of a fiber body 2 consisting of a sheath-core conjugate fiber wherein the core part 2a is formed of polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate and the sheath part 2b is formed of polyethylene.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
