At the Cinte Techtextil China in October 2010 in Shanghai/PR China, Oerlikon Neumag, Neumunster/Germany, announced an order for a synthetic staple fiber plant with a capacity of 300 tons/day. The contract of the staple fiber equipment was concluded with Far Eastern New Century Corp. (FENC) from Taiwan who is one of the leading producers of polyester products in Asia. Oerlikon Neumag will deliver the fiber line equipment and in addition will carry out the supervision of erection and commissioning. This plant with the highest installed capacity in a single line worldwide will produce specialty polyester staple fibers which will be used in nonwoven applications. The commercial production start will be in the middle of 2011.
