Barry Callebaut to acquire U.S. chocolate decorations manufacturer

In an attempt to establish a foothold for decorations products in the United States, Barry Callebaut plans to acquire an American chocolate decorations manufacturer, Henderson, N.C.-based Mona Lisa Food Products. Mona Lisa manufactures a variety of chocolate and pastry decoration products such as cups, curls, spoons, shavings and blossoms, which are distributed all over the U.S. and also shipped worldwide. In 2011, Mona Lisa Food Products generated about $10 million in revenue.
