摘要

In the post-9011 period questions relating to religious diversity have acquired a newnmeaning in political science and related disciplines. Lest there be any doubt that reli-ngion has become a salient issue for policy makers in immigrant-receiving societies, nit should be noted that this volume emerges from interactions in, and the support of,nthe International Metropolis Project. Indeed, since the mid 1990s, Canada has takenna lead role in the development and evolution of the Metropolis Project, which linksnacademics, NGOs and policy makers in addressing questions relating to immigrantnintegration from both comparative and multidisciplinary perspectives.
