Three decades in Penzance

The Penzance Running Day, held on 15 April and organised by the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust, attracted a range of vehicles representing several past decades.The 1970s vehicles include the rare combination of Bristol LH6L and 39-seat Marshall coach body of Western National 1318 (BDV 318L), new in 1973 and preserved in the Royal Blue version of the National Bus Company's South West region coach livery adopted before the imposition of uniform liveries across England and Wales. Although these coaches were built primarily for tours, they supplemented Royal Blue's express network when required.
