This year's Penzance running day, on April 18, complied with government health regulations by being a flyby spectator-only event. Among the participants was preserved Western National 1148 (AFJ 706T), an ECW-bodied Bristol VRT/SL3 new in December 1978 and restored to the Western National 70th anniversary Tilling green and cream livery it wore in 1998. It was photographed on the A3071 passing the ruins of buildings used for the reclamation of china clay left within the slurry excavated from Cornish tin mines.
