Exploring graduate education reform

An opening ceremony was held for new students at the Yuquan Campus of the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS) on Sept. 12, 2006 in the western outskirt of Beijing. Some 11,350 graduate students enrolled this year, including about 5,000 doctoral candidates, will set out their journey for scientific investigations in the coming semesters.
