Practices expect more work but fewer jobs

Architects are predicting a slight increase in workloads - but they don't expect this to translate into new staff appointments. The RIBA Future Trends survey for August shows a modest month-on-month upswing in the number of practices expecting more work. But at the same time die Staffing Index fell by almost the same amount, an indication that the same practices expect to employ fewer permanent staff in the next three months.
