If we accept the assumptions made in the conclusion of the article by Leibervici and colleagues that antibiotic treatment with the "super antibiotic" is both economic- cal and in the best interest of the patient, we are left with the question of whether the choice of antibiotics should be influenced by the greater good of the community or the best interests of the patient.
