I grew up in New York and didn't set foot in a sailboat until after college. I took a sailing lesson in Marina del Rey, California, and then bought my first sailboat, a little Lido 14. I've moved up since then. Symmetry is 96 feet, a sloop rig, all carbon fiber. I call her my "third, last boat." My prior boats were also supposed to be the last boat, but I have had her for 15 years now and still sail her like a dinghy. She's light and handles extremely well.
