Color is a powerful descriptor that considerably expands our ability to characterize and distinguish objects and facilitates interactions with dynamic environment. Although our understanding of neuronal mechanisms involved in color processing has significantly advanced over the past decades, a number of questions related to visual pathways engaged in color perception still remain unanswered.
