It's now being used by agencies to disseminate traffic updates in real time and could prove quite useful during the snow and ice season keeping the motoring public up-to-date in real time about road conditions.rnThe Missouri Department of Transportation's (MoDOT) began using Twitter in February, offering statewide news and information. District office and traffic accounts have all been created within the past few months. Kansas City and St. Louis began offering traffic updates through Twitter this spring, and updates are also available along the 1-70 corridor.
