Australian seating manufacturer Transport Seating has announced the successful testing and certification of their Prestige, Cruiser and Evolution series' of high-speed ferry seats. The International Martime Organisation High Speed Code (IMO-HSC) is the internationally recognised standard for marine passenger seating, which is conducted under rigorous controlled testing to examine materials, structure, design criteria, strength and safety. Rod Ferguson, managing director of Transport Seating, incorporated aircraft technology and lightweight materials into the design and construction of the Prestige, Cruiser and Evolution seating ranges.
