What Bruce Crower has developed, or more precisely reinvented, is a bottoming cycle engine that uses steam to use the waste heat otherwise rejected through the radiator and exhaust system ("Innovating for efficiency the hot-rodder's way," October 2007, p. 70). This is neither a new nor an original idea. It is a good idea if done correctly.
