タイヤは操縦安定性に強く影響するだけでなく,燃費や音振動などの性能にも影響する.各性能は他車との競合領域にあるため,新車用タイヤに対する各性能からの期待や要求は高い.しかしタイヤの設計自由度には限りがあるため,すべての性能を同時に満足させられるとは限らない.したがって各性能からの要求を極力満たすための一般的なタイヤ設計手順は,目標の達成/未達成(採用/不採用)が一意に決まる定量項目を何が何でも成立させた後で,一意には決まらない官能目標項目の検討に着手する順になると思われる.%Stability and control consists of its sub characteristics. As the sub characteristics, this article focuses on steady and transient behavior under position control, transient behavior under force control, limit cornering and its stability, spin-plow under sinusoidal steering, stability during braking or gas pedal release, stability against disturbance force and stability on rutted road. Their fundamental indexes are formulated. Based on the formulas, this article discusses tire properties which are cornering stiffness coefficient, dependence coefficient of cornering stiffness on normal load, lateral stiffness, friction ratio and camber stiffness to satisfy the sub characteristics together.
