The aims and objective of the VACR/LINK project have been met. The fundamental aerodynamic mechanisms involved in longitudinal tunnel ventilation using jet fans have been exposed through analytical consideration and the use of CFD (see Figure 3), supported throughout by rigorous Experimentation. The depth and breadth of The studies has lead to seven published Papers, with many more in preparation.
