THE PREDICTION OF THE STRUCTURE BORNE SOUND ON THE SURFACES OF CAR MUFFLER

The present article considers the exhaust noise mused by structural vibration of the mufflers and connecting pipes. The prediction of the vibrational parameters have been done for three different models by means of the Statistical Energy Analysis method. In the calculation there is considered an energy flow in the acoustic source - automotive muffler - environment configuration. The simulation values have been compared to investigation data [13].
