コスモスふきあげ館

摘要

コスモスふきあげ館は，鴻巣市•川里町•吹上町合併協議会におい て策定された「新市建設計画」における施策別戦略的•重点的プロジュ クトの1つである。市が揭げた基本理念である，「学習」• 「交流」• 「創 造」の具象化を目標とし，総合的教育の活動拠点の役割を担つたコミュ ニティー施設として，市民利用のアクティビティが街の風景をつくり 出す新たなシンボルとなる建築を目指した。%The complex is the community activity center for comprehensive learning, designed to symbolize the new urban scenes created by citizen activities, with a library, lifelong education facilities, meeting hall, museum, children's center and branch city offices. They are staggered single file along the "Fukiage Corridor" on one floor, allowing easy universal access and multiplying the informal exchanges in the various activities. It also functions as a community gathering spot with activities aligned and opened out to the street. Internal spaces are covered by a ceiling grid of local Saitama wood while spaces like the meeting hall and gallery requiring extra height, sound proofing or fireproofing are constructed of reinforced concrete and placed at the center of the structure to resist lateral seismic forces. This reduces the structural constraints on the wood grid and steel support columns for flexible placement and a light airy atmosphere.
