Beyond AP Statistics Workshop Opens Students' Eyes

Statistics students from South Texas high schools took part in a historic opportunity March 3, 2006, at The University of Texas-Pan American, when they- for the first time- participated in a Beyond AP Statistics workshop conducted by the ASA in partnership with the university. Normally designed for teachers of statistics, the workshop allowed approximately 80 students to hear from statistics experts about quality control, design and analysis of experiments, statistical analysis of experiments, and statistical analysis of aphid data.
