Manganese and Other Inorganics: An Update of Guidelines Under Development by Health Canada

Health Canada has recently undertaken the review or development of a number of guidelines for inorganic contaminants that are currently at various stages of development. This presentation discusses the key considerations and treatment approaches for the proposed guideline for manganese, which underwent public consultation in 2016. It also briefly addresses the considerations for the guideline on selenium, which was finalized in 2014, as well as the proposed guidelines for chromium and bromate. An update of the current status and key considerations for the uranium, copper, and strontium guidelines is also provided.
