Essentials of Probability & Statistics for Engineers & Scientists.

Essentials of Probability & Statistics for Engineers & Scientists, hereafter referred to as Essentials, is designed for a one-semester introduction to statistics course for undergraduate students studying engineering and the sciences. The authors suggest one semester of differential and integral calculus as a prerequisite to using the book, and I agree that this would be sufficient preparation for the course. Readers familiar with statistics books for engineers and scientists may recognize the authors for their more comprehensive book, Probability and Statistics for Engineers and Scientists (2011), currently in its 9th edition. Es-sentials differs from their other book in that Essentials is much shorter, it covers fewer topics, and some topics are covered in less depth.
