The drycleaning industry has been plagued with a bad reputation for a long time. Perhaps it's unjustified, but the way some operators conduct business, it isn't surprising. I read lots of signs in customer reception areas that say, "We Are Not Responsible for: Belts... Buttons... Dye Bleeds... Shrinkage... Sequins... Trims... Ties... Tommy Hilfiger garments... Tommy Bahama garments... Missing garments... and so on. Another sign says, "A $25 charge will be added to all returned checks," and "No, we do not take credit cards." The first things a customer sees when they walk into the front counter area can be pretty negative, can't they?
