Poultry firm accepts a ‘level of responsibility’ for pollution in the river Wye

Avara Foods said it accepted “some of the responsibility” for the pollution which has led to a decline in a number offish species, according to conservationists.The river Wye is the fifth longest river in the UK. Its catchment has become a centre of intensive poultry production,with hundreds of giant chicken sheds containing more than 20 million birds at any given time.
