1. Prepare a sheet of clear acetate and place over your chosen printed pattern. Anna notes: Mirror the image if it contains words-remember they are going to be transferred to the cake. 2. Trace the pattern onto the acetate sheet with a blue food marker. Anna notes: If the pattern is highly detailed, focus on the outline of the pattern first and then add in smaller details. Remember the rest can always be added when the outline has been transferred onto the cake. 3. Once the ink is dry to the touch, lightly spray the acetate with high-proof alcohol to reactivate the ink. Anna notes: You can prepare several acetate sheets with the desired pattern in advance to speed up the process. 4. Carefully but firmly place the acetate sheet ink-side down onto the cake. Do not reposition once placed.
