Coming May 21, a new collector's edition recounts the greatest engineering triumph of the last century and previews the 21st century missions to return to the moon-with astronaut profiles and stunning photographs. Douglas C-47s were the first across the Channel. This June 6, to mark the 75th anniversary of the World War Ⅱ Allied invasion of Europe, restored C-47 transports will participate in a re-enactment of the D-Day drop of paratroopers over Normandy. The maintenance, travel, and logistics for the re-enactment are almost as complex as the original operation!
