The primary advantages of the MH-60R over the legacy versions of the SH-60 are the internal systems, the most visible improvement being the glass cockpit. This cockpit is common to the MH-60R and MH-60S variants of the Seahawk. It is more pilot friendly and simplifies some of the difficulties encountered on the legacy platform, such as the failure of cockpit gauges.
