Australia Looks To Extend Heron Deal

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is negotiating with MacDonald Dettweiler and Associates (MDA) to extend the contract under which the Canadian company provides intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to it in Afghanistan. The ADF is looking to take the optionrnwithin the current agreement to extend the programme from the initial one-year contract, which was due to conclude in January 2011, until January 6, 2013.
