MH-47G Block Ⅱ Chinooks

Boeing announced on June 13, 2019, it has been cleared to begin production of the MH-47G Block Ⅱ Chinook helicopter for the US Army Special Operations Aviation Command (SOAC). Deliveries are expected to begin in 2021. The $194 million contract covers the second lot of MH-47G Chinooks, which feature technological advancements over current MH-47G helicopters in the US inventory, to enhance performance and extend their operational service life. Boeing is now on contract for a total of 15 MH-47GS, the first of which is scheduled to begin final assembly at Boeing's Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility, later this year.
