Sangomar: Dakar wrestles a minimum deal with Woodside

Woodside, the Australian oil firm overseeingthe development of the Sangomaroilfield, is determined not to wait anylonger on its final investment decision(FID), initially planned for the end of2019 then rescheduled to early 2020.According to our information, the companyhas accepted to lower the loanrate that it had offered Petrosen tofinance its part of the work on the blockof which the latter holds 10%. Petrosenis still short on the funds it would needto meet Woodside’s cash calls so theAustralian firm has agreed to lower itsinterest from 7% ( AEI 852) to 6.5%.
