Swedish T-6 delivered to Dutch training school

North American T-6A Texan SE-CHP was flown from its base at Vaesteraes, south-east Sweden to a new home at Lelystad, the Netherlands on 13 September. It will now be registered PH-TXN, and join the fleet of the Wings over Holland Flightschool. The aircraft dates from 1941 and served with the Swedish Air Force between 1953-57. A year later Svensk Flygtjaenst AB acquired it and used the machine for a variety of tasks, including the training of radio operators for the national airline SAS. In 1971, Bjorn O. Loewgren acquired the Texan, and he operated it until he died in 2011.
