Understanding the Mahaim Pathway in the Context of Catheter Ablation

Historically, it was suggested by Ivan Mahaim in 1938 that conducting fibers may exist from the atrioventricular (AV) node (nodoventricular fibers) to the ventricle. Other fibers from the His bundle and fascicle to the right ventricle (RV) (fasiculoventricular fibers) and from the AV node to the right bundle (nodofascicular fibers) were subsequently defined later.
