Pretreatment platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) as a predictor of response to first-line platinum-based chemotherapy and prognosis for patients with non-small cell lung cancer

BackgroundPrevious studies showed the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) was associated with the prognosis of many tumors. However, to our knowledge, no study has explained the role of PLR in predicting response to first-line chemotherapy and prognosis for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The aim of this study was to characterize the role of pretreatment PLR in NSCLC.
