基于非下采样Contourlet变换多描述图像编码方法

     

摘要

提出一种基于非下采样Contourlet变换(NSCT)的多描述图像编码方法,以解决在复杂网络环境及信道受限情况下数据包丢失导致的图像质量下降问题.一幅图像经过梅花下采样会引入很多高频信息,而NSCT变换是一种具有移不变性多尺度、多方向分解的变换,这种特性更能“捕捉”高频信息.实验证明单描述图像重建效果明显,中央信道解码图像通过数据融合算法实现两描述重建,进一步改善了图像质量.%In this paper, a new multiple description image coding scheme based on Non-subsample Contourlet Transform (NSCT) is proposed, which can solve the problem of Data Packet drop out in the complex network or limited communication channel. It introduces many high frequency information when an image is divided into two descriptions with quincunx,whereas NSCT is multi-scale,multi-direction and shift-invariant image decomposition,this feature can "seize" those frequency information. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed MDC scheme can achieve good coding performance,the data fusion algorithm is employed in the central decoder to reconstruct the whole image,which further improve the quality of the reconstructed image.
