The proportionate consolidation method is always applied to allocate reliability of the equipment or system which adopts platform design. It can make the designers and the suppliers understand the requirements of reliability design by clearly defining the definition of the failure, breaking down the structure of the product, modeling and then allocating relibilty into all subsystems or main equipments.
