近年来美国可授予学位的高等教育机构的数量整体下降.尤其是私立营利性学校,其生存与发展面临着越来越严峻的挑战.不少营利性学校纷纷寻求出路,如营利性的卡普兰大学并入著名的公立研究型大学普渡大学.这种模式是否可以成为美国高等教育公私合作的典型与发展趋势?通过对普渡大学成功收购卡普兰大学进行归因分析,并探究其存在的问题,有助于加深对美国高等教育公私合作的理解,进而为我国高职院校的混合所有制改革提供一些启示和借鉴.%The number of degree-awarding higher education institutions in the United States has de-clined in recent years.Private for-profit universities and colleges face more and more severe challenges for their survival and development.Many of them actively seek for solutions.An example is the acqui-sition of Kaplan University,a private institution,by Purdue University,a public research university. Can this model become an exemplar and trend of the public-private cooperation in higher education in the United States? This study conducts an attribution analysis of Purdue University's successful acquisi-tion of Kaplan University with an exploration of its existing problems.The findings help to deepen the understanding of public-private partnerships in higher education in the United States and provide impli-cations for the reform of mixed ownership in vocational higher education institutions in China.
