U.S. Corn Supply Groups Partner with Industry to Fund Aviation Biofuels Research at Purdue University

The Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) and Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) have joined forces with Purdue University (Indiana) to review the potential economics behind the innovative market of aviation biofuels, according to a July 11 statement issued by the ICMC. The ICMC and ICPB – state corn check-off organizations – are both funding the research project. Boeing, United Airlines and Honeywell’s UOP are contributing technical expertise to the project, as well as financial support. The research is expected to be completed later this month, according to the announcement.
