English translation of public signs in Chinese City there exist some sort of errors which greatly influence the understand-ing of the Chinese city feature. The English translation of public signs should be concise and appropriate and can be presented in the right way in order to help foreigners know China well.%标识语是在公共场所经常被用到的一种特殊语言。目前，随着国际化的发展，我国许多城市的公共标识语的英语翻译越来越重要，但是同时也存在诸多问题。针对城市公共标识语英语翻译现状和常见的问题进行分析，找到对策，营造城市健康的语言环境。
