After the New Culture Movement, Shaolin wushu has developed new forms of activities, such as organized group learning and teaching, training and competition in large scale; and new forms of sports, such as new set patterns; the fighting function of wushu was weakened and the cultural connotation was highlighted. The unique cultural elements of Shaolin wushu have gradually developed typical cultural image and unique aesthetics, which vividly embodies the Chinese culture.
