With the bibliometric method and content analysis, this article has analyzed the external characteristics and the research topics of the highly cited papers indexed by Web of Science during the period of 2008～2017. The results reveal that the citation frequency of highly cited paper ranges from 100 to 500 and the paper growth periods are 2008 to 2011, and 2012 to 2016. The most of highly cited papers were published on the sports science journals, especially sports medicine journals. The topic clustering results show that the research topics of highly cited paper focused mainly on physical fitness technical analysis, sports nutrition, sports injury, exercise prescription and physical activity; among them, physical activity of children and adolescences, sports injury and rehabilitation are currently the hot topics and key points of international sports science research. The research results of highly cited papers are important forces to lead the development of this discipline. These research literature deserves the attention of Chinese sports scholars.%以国际体育学期刊高被引论文为研究对象, 运用文献计量学和内容分析法, 从高被引论文的外部特征和研究主题两方面对近十年 (2008-2017) WOS数据库收录的高被引论文进行研究.结果显示, 高被引论文的被引频次主要集中在100～500次之间, 论文增长年限正值2008-2011和2012-2016两个奥运周期;高被引论文主要发表在运动医学等自然科学类期刊上;研究主题主要集中在体能技术分析、运动营养、运动损伤、运动处方和体力活动五大方面, 其中儿童青少年体力活动及评价、运动损伤与治疗是当今国际体育学研究热点和重点.
