CBI模式背景下体育专业大学英语教学模式改革探索--以衡阳师范学院为例

摘要

It is well -known that China has the world's largest educational system with the largest number of learners of English . However, the challenges facing English language teachers are also considerable since English teaching is often criticized as a failure , characterized by “test -driven”, and “deaf -dumb English”.The current study presents a content -based approach to reform English teaching in the College of Physical Education and Sports Science at Hengyang Normal University .By integrating contents of physical education and English ,a 2-year 4 -level English course curriculum has been designed as a proposal for a pioneer collaborative study between Hengyang Normal University and the University of Texas -Rio Grande Valley .%以专业学科内容为依托的大学英语教学，是将语言学习与学科内容融合一起学习的有机整合，在未来的教学改革中形成一种新的教学模式。本文将依据大学英语和体育专业课程的实际情况，采用内容依托式教学模式的新理念设想来进行专业体育的大学英语教学改革，旨在提高体育专业学生在生活中的语言实际运用能力，帮助他们在掌握体育专业知识及技能的前提下，促使学生充分利用英语这一语言工具对其专业领域开展教学与运动学术研究，期望培养出与世界接轨并适用于社会高速发展的复合型、实用型体育人才。
