国际化与企业绩效的关系——以江苏制造业企业为例

         

摘要

Due to the heterogeneity in firm resource and capability and the variety of internationalizing strategy, the empirical research on the degree of internationalization and firm performance draw divergent results. This paper, through the resource - based view lens, examines the internationalization - performance relationship by regarding internationalization as an intervening mechanism that aids in the translation of firm resources into performance, and explores the different impact of two distinct internationalizing strategies by distinguishing the breadth and depth of internationalization. Based on 225 Jiangsu manufacturing enterprises, the empirical results show that those Jiangsu manufacturing enterprises with certain resources advantages can improve their performance by increasing their internationalization breadth, while the relationship between internationalization depth and the performance is not obvious.%由于企业资源与能力的异质性以及国际化战略的多样性,国际化是否一定能够提升企业的绩效很难得出定论.根据企业的资源基础观,将国际化视作一种有助于企业资源转化为绩效的中介机制,通过区分国际化深度与国际化广度,探讨了企业资源、不同国际化扩张战略与企业绩效三者间的关系.基于225家江苏制造业企业的实证检验表明,具有一定资源优势的江苏制造业企业能够通过提高国际化广度来提升企业的绩效,而国际化深度与企业绩效之间的关系则不显著.
