Two methods of language teaching:Multiple Intelligences and Total Physical Response

摘要

As an international language, English has accelerated the demand for more effective language teaching approaches, which have aroused an enthusiastic educational debate and innovation(Richards & Rogers, 2014). This essay compares two methods of language teaching, including multiple intelligences(MI) and total physical response(TPR). This essay attempts to explore the differences between these two language teaching methods in terms of design(the syllabus, types of learning and teaching activities, learner roles, teacher role, the role of instructional materials).
