A Study of the English Learning in Language Training Institutions from the Perspective of D?rnyei’s DMC Theory

     

摘要

This paper will makes a theoretical exploration and explanation about the supporting mental power behind the successful progress the students make in language training institution from the perspective of motivation theory of D?rnyei’s DMC theory from the aspect of goal/vision orientedness, a salient facilitative structure, and positive emotionality-the 3 main features of DMC theory. It tries to explore and describe the intense and sustained motivation phenomenon provided by learners who joined some intensive IELTS or TOEFL training courses, hoping to make useful implication and inspiration for future researchers and interested scholars.
