Social Constructivism——A New Model in Education

摘要

Social constructivism is a joint model from humanism,cognitive psychology,constructivism and social interactionism.The message of the model is that knowledge is self-constructed and not passed down by others.In this model,four key sets of factors influence the learning process--teachers,learners,tasks and contexts.The development of the whole person in education al settings is also emphasized,so language teaching/learning can and should be seen in this light.
