This article is a concern of the female's living conditions in the story The Daughters of the Late Colonel written by Katherine Mansfield. The analysis will stress on the relationship between the two daughters and the people around them, through which the plight and oppression that heaved upon women and their tragical, unhappy life in the patriarchal society are clearly ex-posed.
