As is known to all, idiom is the language symbols which abound in national cultural connotations. In essence, the trans-lation of idiom is cultural-loaded which bases on the transference of one culture to another. Thus, the translator's choice on translation strategies will greatly affect the expression of cultural connotations. This thesis aims to study the E-C/C-E translation of idiom from the cultural insight and explore the application of strategies in idiom translation, advocating that foreignization should be given as top priority when conducting idiom translation.
