In the past 20 years,numbers of the technical documents about starch depresents has shown that the role of starch and its modified products in mineral processing has been paid more and more attention by the mining industry. The re-search and development of common starch and modified starches such as dextrin, caustic starch, cationic starch and anionic starch were introduced. Also,as depresent,situation on that the starch acts with minerals in ore slurry including hematite,anda-lusite,quartz,biotite, calcite, fluorite, barite, pyrite, galena, sphalerite, diaspore, kaolinite, limonite and illite were described.
