The countryside is the focus but also the weak link of our health work. The county hospital is the leader of the three rural health services network and the key to solve the people's medical treatment problem. The status and role of the county hospital refer to an unprece-dented height in the new medical reform, and bring new opportunities for the development of the county hospital, stressing its status, improving its subsidy, enhancing the counterpart support between city and rural hospitals, enhancing its standardized construction and increasing its requi-rements and utilization. The functional positioning and development opportunities of the county hospital in new health care reform were di-scussed in this paper.%农村是我国卫生工作的重点,也是薄弱环节,县级公立医院是农村三级医疗卫生服务网络的龙头,是解决人民群众看病就医问题的关键.新医改高度重视县级公立医院的地位和作用,进一步明确了县级公立医院的地位,增加了对县级公立医院的政策补贴,从而推动了城乡医院对口支援工作,加强了县级公立医院的标准化建设,增加了卫生服务的需要量及利用量,为县级公立医院提供了发展机遇.
