马来西亚作家朵拉既擅长写散文，也擅长写小说，而微型小说更是她长袖善舞之地。这既有环境因素，也因其自身艺术爱好，在朵拉出版的十几本微型小说集中，朵拉已形成她自身鲜明的艺术风格。%Duo La, a Malaysian writer, writes essays and also fictions, micro-fictions being her forte, not only because of the circumstances, in which South-east Asia provides rich soil for the growth of micro-fiction in a region rich in commerce but that is thin in the consciousness of grand narrative, but also because of her own artistic preferences. As she enjoys writing in this genre, developing it into a great spectacle over the years, Duo La has published a dozen collections of micro stories, such as A Mirror on the Pavement, The Flower Garden with Wild Grass, Peach Flowers, A Free Pair of Red Shoes, Moring in a Paris Spring, and Morning Flowers. Of these hundreds of micro stories, Duo La has, consciously or unconsciously, cultivated her own distinct artistic style.
